CES 2013: Transformer Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S with Ivy Bridge and Windows 8

Lenovo has introduced a new version of its unusual transformer IdeaPad Yoga – Yoga IdeaPad 11S. In contrast to last year’s predecessor , the 11-inch IdeaPad Yoga 11 , based on the new processor architecture x86, not ARM – Intel Ivy Bridge. Accordingly, as a software platform used by a full Windows 8 , not Windows RT.

This significant upgrade did not pass and one of the most important characteristics for the average user for the quality of the display. Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S IPS uses a matrix with a resolution of 1600 x 900, 1366 x 768 instead of the LCD in 11 Yoga.

Like other members of the family, it can be used in either a “laptop”, “tablet” or “stand”. It should also be noted that the device was a bit thicker than ARM-version – the thickness increased to “whole” 17.2 mm instead of 16.8 mm.

Main technical characteristics of Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S include up to 8 GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD, the most “advanced” option provides dual-processor Intel Core i5. The price starts from $ 799 (for the U.S., of course). The sale of this interesting model will not start until June.
